Elon Musk’s Tesla operations is expanding to Kyle which is just south of Austin and just a short hop from their larger footprint in their Del Valle operations.

According to a recent article in the Austin American Statesman, Tesla is going to lease almost one million square feet of industrial space in a new light industrial park recently approved by the Kyle city council. The paper quoted Travis Mitchell, the mayor of Kyle, as stating that five new Tesla suppliers and related services have moved to the city within the last two years. He went on to say that this move by Tesla will transform Kyle from a bedroom
community to a thriving part of the greater Austin region.

Experts have stated that the growing population of Central Texas coupled with the expansion of firms such as Tesla and Samsung is fueling strong demand for industrial space and that this trend is expected to continue.

And of course, all this good news means that it is great news for those of us owning well placed residential rentals in our growing area.
