Collecting Rent: Austin Landmark Property Services
Once you’ve moved into your new Austin rental property, you’ll spend some time turning the empty space into a home that reflects who you are and what you love. It’s fun. It’s exhilarating.
There are some details that will need your attention while you’re moving in, and your property management team at Austin Landmark is prepared to help you manage them efficiently and with little inconvenience.
Paying rent is probably your biggest responsibility as an Austin tenant. We have some ways that will make it easy.
Move-In Funds Must Be Settled and Secure
We call them “first monies.” It’s really just the collection of move-in funds that you need to provide before you get the keys and start living in your new home.
These funds include the security deposit, any pet fees if applicable, the first month’s rent, and anything else that needs to be paid up front. You’ll get a complete statement of what’s due before you sign the lease and take possession.
The move-in funds have to be paid with a certified check or a cashier’s check. A money order works, too. We require secured funds in this format only for the move-in funds. Going forward, you won’t have to worry about certified checks or money orders.

Paying Rent Online is Easy, Secure, and Convenient
During the lease period, we encourage all residents to pay rent using their online resident portal.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. It seems like everything is paid for online these days. When’s the last time you wrote out a check or sent a payment through the mail? At Austin Landmark, we’re innovative and creative. We’re modern and we’re flexible. Your tenant portal will make online rental payments easy.

The online rental payments can be made with a bank transfer at no cost. If you choose to pay with a credit card, you’ll notice a merchant fee is added.
We do not accept cash. If you’d prefer to pay rent with a personal check, mail it to our office or drop it off. Mailed rent should be sent to our secure mailing address listed in the lease, not the physical address of the office.
We just moved into our new duplex that is managed with ALPS. Everything has been amazing! The place was nice and clean on move in day, including the action items we requested. Also, there were a couple of things we needed to be fixed and they sent someone out right away. They are very professional and on top of their game. I would rent from them again and I would also consider letting them manage one of my properties should I ever become an owner in the future. Great Work! Impressed so far!
