This week the Austin American Statesman ran an article stating that the KoMiCo company which already has a presence in Round Rock, employing 180, will be expanding its facility and adding 70 more jobs to their operations. KoMiCo cleans, coats, and repairs semiconductor parts and has a customer base that is worldwide. The expansion is a $30M investment so it looks like they are planning on staying. In fact, James Jin, Comic US based president stated that this will help “Silicon Hills” be the most as the most technologically advanced semiconductor manufacturing region in the United States.
