As reported in recent newscasts and the local Austin American Statesman, Apple has broken ground on its newest facility right here in Austin. The announcement of the ground breaking had been expected for months but Apple waited to make the announcement to coincide with President Trump’s visit to our fair city where he toured Apple’s existing plant where the Mac Pro is manufactured. The new plant will be 224,999 square feet located on a campus of 133 acres and will cost $1 billion dollars. The location won’t be far from the existing plan and will roughly be in the vicinity of Parmer Lane and MoPac Expressway.

This location is very convenient to Pflugerville and Hutto, two of the cities that excite me from a residential rental investment point of view. Why” Because initially the new facility will employ 5,000 but is geared to grow to 15,000 employees. I suppose we owe a huge TEXAS THANK YOU to New York who rejected Apple causing Apple to seek a friendlier place. Welcome Home Apple!
